Pros of our stay at Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge included the jaw-dropping attention to detail from the staff, including the delightful bedtime stories and sweets left on our bed each night. The blankets and hot water bottles provided for the game drives were super cozy. The food was mind-blowingly delicious, with ostrich fillet and Kudu fillet being the highlights. Breakfast with a herd of elephants in front of us was absolutely unforgettable. The small-scale intimate setting of the lodge made for a relaxing experience between game drives. The friendly and welcoming staff, including Harold, Given, Ralph, Colbert, and Ezekiel. Our safari game driver Andrew was incredible at finding the animals and sharing their stories. our stay was a truly amazing and once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The rooms at Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge are absolutely amazing! They are shaped like beehives, which gives them a unique and cozy feel. I loved how the rooms are elegantly furnished and the king size bed was super comfortable. It felt like a dream come true!
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the stone bathtub in the room. It felt a bit too rustic for my taste.

I indulged in delicious international cuisine with a South-African twist, while enjoying the cozy dining room with a fireplace. The outdoor pool and authentic lounge added to the experience. The views of the waterhole and surrounding plains from the timber decks were simply breathtaking.
Who needs a wide range of wine options anyways? Lack of variety was truly disappointing.

The location was prime, right in the heart of the Manyeleti Game Reserve. The lodge itself was super cool, with clean and comfy rooms. And let's not forget the staff - they were hilarious and made our trip even more memorable. We had a blast and would totally recommend it to any teenager looking for an adventure!
If I had to pick one thing, it would be that the lodge didn't have any late-night party activities for us young folks. We had so much energy and wanted to keep the fun going after dinner.

The experienced guides took us on some wicked open 4x4 vehicle safaris where we saw the Big Five, including lions, elephants, and even a leopard! We also went on guided bush walks and birding safaris, which were so cool. The location of the lodge was awesome, right in the middle of the park, so the animals came super close. It was such a rad experience!
The only thing that could have made our trip even more lit was if the lodge had some more options for young party-goers. We had a blast during the day with all the safari activities, but it would have been extra awesome if there were some fun nighttime activities or a chill spot to hang out and meet other young people.
